Nanocrystalline Cores
High permeability and low loss for precision sensing and filtering
High permeability and low loss for precision sensing and filtering
Nanocrystalline ribbon is produced from iron-based alloy and annealed to form a fine grain structure. The result is high permeability with low loss, which makes the material suitable for precision current sensing and for filtering in high-density power electronics.
Cores are wound, annealed and encapsulated to protect the brittle ribbon from handling stress, since mechanical pressure directly affects permeability. We supply bare cores, cased cores and cut cores, and we can tune permeability to the customer's measurement circuit.
- High initial permeability
- Stable over temperature range
- Low loss at high frequency
- Thin ribbon, compact section

Selection is driven by frequency, flux density, temperature and assembly constraints rather than a catalogue part number.

Common-mode filtering
Matched permeability pairs keep insertion loss consistent across production batches of EMI filters.

Energy metering
Stable permeability over temperature supports accuracy class requirements in revenue meters.

Solar & EV power stages
Low loss at elevated frequency for inverters and charging modules with high power density.
